STRUCTURAL OSTEOPATHY is a refined manual therapy approach dedicated to restoring the body’s natural balance, mobility and freedom of movement.

By assessing and treating restrictions within the joints, muscles, fascias, and spine, the osteopath uses precise techniques such as joint mobilisations, muscle energy techniques, deep soft tissue work (deep tissue therapy, myofascial and trigger points release) and when appropriate, gentle high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) adjustments.

Each treatment is tailored to the needs of the patient.

Structural osteopathy aims not only to relieve pain and discomfort but also to optimise biomechanical function, enhance mobility and support long-term health and wellbeing.

Through a comprehensive understanding of how the body moves, adapts and compensates, a treatment seeks to promote lasting improvement and help patients return to their daily activities with greater ease, resilience and confidence.

Structural Osteopathy may be particularly helpful in supporting patients experiencing:

  • Lower back pain and acute or chronic low back stiffness
  • Sciatica and other forms of nerve-related pain
  • Neck pain, stiffness and mechanical cervical tension
  • Upper and mid-back pain, including thoracic and rib restrictions
  • Shoulder pain and restricted shoulder mobility
  • Hip and pelvic pain or reduced mobility
  • Knee and ankle pain or functional restrictions
  • Sports-related injuries, muscular strains and overuse injuries (IT band, ski injuries)
  • Whiplash, car/ bike accidents
  • Tendinopathies, such as tennis elbow and other repetitive strain conditions
  • Headaches associated with muscular or mechanical tension in the neck and upper back
